It‘s named ''The Intro'' because it is U.T.E's first design, and it’s also the first chapter for us to start chasing the edge. We hope that through ''The Intro'', you can get a glimpse some of the design styles that U.T.E will be working on in the future.
The original intention of designing this knife was actually to escape the mainstream style of knives on the market. Tactical styles, strong aggressiveness, and fancy designs are the more sought-after styles nowadays. However, I try to find a design that has balances between minimalist, functional, and gentle. That's why ”The Intro“ was born.
The rounded tip of the blade makes it look less aggressive, and the wider blade will be more suitable for everyday cutting and slicing work. The 14c28N was chosen because it exhibits good rust resistance and is easier to sharpen in outdoor environments. Chose Micarta for the handle because of its comfort and simplicity. Abandoned the flipper design in favor of a front flipper with thumb studs or thumb holes, which gives the knife a smoother look, and playability in everyday carry.
